A slice of the Old Town

My that was hot. So hot that it was like being at school having our team meeting in Queen Street Gardens and for the first time ever, trying to spin it out to avoid going back to the office.

Still, a nice wander at lunchtime out along Princes Street gardens, across Waverley Bridge and back along Princes St. Seeing as it was so hot I thought it would be the perfect day to climb the stairs up the Scott Monument and have a wee look around at Edinburgh basking in the sunshine. Fool. Got back to work drookit with sweat. Nice.

The photos looking down on Princes Street are quite dizzying on a big screen but I liked this wee view across the Old Town through one of the wee slitty windows up the stairs. Did a few but this is the only one that kept some impression of the sides of the window, the others having gone jet black.
