The Pirate Hat and the Twelve String

and the cymbals, and the sleeping bags ........

They left in a flurry of last minute packing at 8.15 am. Both off to help as leaders at a Scripture Union camp. This is the first time they have led together, and I know it will spark much banter and probably create a few comedy sketches. Although almost three years apart, many meeting them for the first time think they are twins, they look so alike.

One of the day themes is Pirate Day, so they had to go with the necessary dressing up equipment. Both will be playing in the band. There are 120 children from P6 - S6 going to this camp.

As for us, just packing the car now and off for a few days to a favourite spot in the Lake District. No mobile signal, no internet, no traffic near the cottage. We arrive at a farm track and then cross three fields before reaching our destination. In the middle of nowhere and we love it. If we do pick up wifi on the ipod, I might just have a quick check to see what you are all up to. I have packed a couple of photography books to try and learn some more tricks of the trade.

Over and out .....
