Saturday 1 January 2011: New Year's Day
Tony and I hosted the fun New Year's Event today. A few more turned up than we expected but luckily Chris had printed more maps. This is taken seconds before the off - everyone is trying to work out where they are, which is the best route to take to get as many controls as possible in the hour time limit. I love our sport because the youngest taking part today was three and the oldest (well that would be impolite!) but definitely 70+.
Anyone returning with a cracker, an inflated balloon or a choccy snowman intact gets extra points, as does running around in fancy dress!
