Almost Home

A tricky day on the bike today. I headed out from home into sleet, hail, wind and rain - all of that before I'd left the village! Coming home was hard going into the wind but at least the sunshine was lovely. I've been hoping to blip hundreds of students taking part in 'The Big Pedal' which is running for the next three weeks to encourage youngsters to ride their bikes to school but I haven't yet persuaded one! Still I'm ever the optimist and I shall be riding into assembly tomorrow in an attempt to lure them out of their warm cars and buses!

This is another blip of our house, this time taken from the country road I zoom down on the almost final leg of my ride home, with the St Ives estate (oft mentioned in here) behind.

Sorry I'm not commenting much at the moment, just too much work. Will hopefully be back soon, thankyou for still dropping by.

ps yesterday's blip: one of the first blips I marvelled at when I joined was one from Scandinavia. I think it might have been Timon's but I could be wrong. He'd taken a bucket of ice which had frozen overnight, turned it out upside down and underlit it with a candle, I thought it was beautiful. Yesterday was my pathetic attempt with a plastic bowl full of ice from the freezer, backlit by a coloured tealight. Loved the comments though, half sucked sweet, Pears soap?! You are an imaginative lot!
