The mad man cycled home

He did. The feckin' eejit.

**** Later ****

Just to throw in some details for when historians or my biographer trawls through this mince looking for some hint of a personality.

Of course, in spite of getting to bed somewhere near 2am, the bairns were up at 7 for telly. I felt remarkably chipper considering the late hour in bed and the volume of Guinness consumed but I reckon that Guinness is as weak as piss, in spite of looking all heavy and strong so whatever was drank was probably no more than about two pints of proper beer.

Breakfasted in a wee cafe along the road and since a trip to the zoo had been negotiated, Tom Tom was instructed to take us there. On balance, it was probably good to be outdoors and surrounded by wild(ish) animals. Guinness might be weak but it provokes gastric activity and being outdoors and in the company of natural odours was a kindness to everyone.

It's actually a very nice zoo, as zoos go so we managed to spend almost all day wandering around, mainly between swing parks. The space in the zoo seems to be evenly divided between animals, swing parks and vending machines and, to be honest, they've probably got the balance right there.

Drove back to Brittas Bay for the last night of holidays.
