Two Blip babies

Some days I guess are just got out of bed the wrong side kind of days whilst others are just nice from start to finish. Luckily today was the latter!

Having had the worst nights sleep for a long time on Saturday night, Ethan decided to prove last night that he CAN sleep well! We put him down wide awake in his cot at 8pm. After 10 minutes of hearing loud "bash bash bash" noises over the baby monitor I peeped round the nursery door to see him kicking his baby projector very hard with both feet! I went for a shower and came out to .... absolute quiet. Poked my head round the door again to discover he had turned 180 degrees in the cot but was now fast asleep. And sleep he did until 5am - woo hoo! A quick feed and he was off to sleep again ... until 8.30am! Now why can't you do that EVERY night Ethan!

We then had a mad dash to get dressed and fed before nipping down to St Johns for an appointment at 9.30am. The Health Visitor had referred Ethan a month or so ago after I mentioned I was concerned he had a slight squint. Typically, it hasn't been so noticable the past week or so and the woman we saw today thinks everything is fine. However she is arranging for Ethan to go back at the end of the year to be checked again to be on the safe side.

After that we had a wander the shops and got a few ideas for Christmas pressies. Then back home where he had lunch, followed by a nap on the sofa. He was then wide awake for Mrs 42 and baby42 coming round to visit later in the afternoon.

I made a spanish omlette for our dinner but Ethan didn't seem to want it when I tried to feed him. I think he must have been inspired by hearing Mrs42 tell us how well Baby42 is doing with the baby led weaning though because when I put it in front of him on his high chair tray he started helping himself. Having not shown much interest in feeding himself at mealtimes before, he did incredibly well. I was impressed how little food ended up on the floor - well done Ethan!
