Hello; my name is Andrew Burns and I live in Edinburgh, with my wife, and our adult son.

Hello; my name is Andrew Burns and I live in Edinburgh, with my wife, and our adult son.
I got the ‘blipping-bug’ back in 2013/14, when I kept a daily journal for a whole year, all as I prepared to run the Edinburgh Marathon in late May 2014 - at the grand old age of 50!
So, this is my 2nd blipfoto journal (June 2014 onwards) … I probably won't attempt an entry every day this time around, and will focus on:
* our ongoing walking-exploits
… (thus the journal title – I run a monthly, informal walking-group!)
* my long-standing love of poetry
* and our equally, much-loved, nearby allotment
I’m currently occupied as Convener of the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations; as a Member of the Accounts Commission for Scotland; I Chair the Edinburgh Union Canal Society; and am a Part-Time PhD Student at the University of Edinburgh Business School.
Previously, I was a local politician - I stood down in May 2017, after 18 enjoyable years. If interested, you can read a bit more about that period via my archived blog. I do hope you enjoy my 2nd blipfoto journal :-)
