I'm originally from Devon, UK. I lived in Christchurch, New Zealand with my Hungarian Vizsla, Cousteau from 2000, and finally became a Kiwi in 2011.

In October 2013, I met my lovely husband, Mr Barking, in Australia, and we were married in May 2014. Cousteau, of course, has joined us here, as have hubby's two gorgeous daughters, Little Miss and Miss MB. Our journey continues from a different location, but we're still here.

I joined Blip to improve my photography skills, and to keep a photo journal of the love of my life (Cousteau) so that my family in the UK could keep up with our lives. That still hasn't changed.

I'm an instinctive photographer. I take the sort of photographs I like to look at. I am also a singer/songwriter and love poetry and writing.

Many times over the past nine years, I have toyed with the idea of giving up blip and yet, here I am, still going strong; blipping every day.

I hope you enjoy my slice of New Zealand Australian life.

27 Feb 2018 - My beautiful Cousteau has left us. He was very ill and we made the heartbreaking decision to let him go. He was the most wonderful friend I have ever had and my heart is broken into a million tiny pieces. I continue to try and pick them all up to make a new heart which will forever have Cousteau at its centre. I will try to continue blipping and thank the blip community for the support they have given me at this difficult time. xxx

15/06/18 - I miss my red boy so much, it hurts. A few days ago, we opened our hearts and our home to an eight-week old Weimaraner, Abraham (Abe). It’s a culture shock having a new puppy after Cousteau, but I’m sure he’ll quickly become a much loved member of our family. Cat, Nikau, is already smitten. Watch this space!
