The name of my journal comes from Kurt Vonnegut - "I urge you to please notice when you are happy, and exclaim or murmur or think at some point, 'If that ain't nice, I don't know what is'."

All day, every day, we are surrounded by 360 degrees of three dimensional  stuff to look at.  Photography allows us to select just a little bit of that 3D world at a particular instant and make a two dimensional picture of it.  Magic!    Software lets us manipulate that picture. More magic!    Blipfoto lets us share that little slice of time and place .  Even more magic!

After not missing a day for three years I took blipper Sefferdog's advice and decided to not to worry about blipping every day if it was becoming a chore.  Now, after four and a half years I have decided to turn off comments and spend less time online and learning about processing and printing.  I will still blip and also continue with my project as CameramanToo which takes blip to its logical conclusion - the same scene photographed at the same time every day.

The picture is a little Bencini Comet camera  - the first camera I can remember using as a child.
