I'm Dave, living in Leith (so there are quite a few blips of the area).  Married to the wonderful Meles.
Outside blipping, I'm an osteoarchaeologist (so there are some pictures of bones) I read a lot, listen to music and grow stuff up at our allotment (so there are some photos of vegetables and flowers). This site has also become a bit of a repository for recording some of the birds I encounter (actually, there are a LOT of photos of birds!)

Introduced to blipping by my brother-in-law, who also gifted me his old DSLR, thanks Jim :).

It has now been 3 years over 2000 days of constant blippage. Some of the photos have been desperate, some I am quietly proud of. The main thing is that I have some dear friends from this site (some of whom I will never meet in the "real" world) and the glimpses into their worlds are sometimes the best part of the day.

I'm still a bloke who carries a camera, rather than a photographer, but I have learned a lot over these last years. Certainly the blip I put up is more often like the image I saw in my head when I pressed the shutter.

Thanks for looking in!
