I love my camera to capture my family life, I have four fabulous grandkids and hope that the photos I've taken over the years will be good for them to look back on and maybe laugh, cry, and enjoy looking at them as much as I did taking them. I also have some wonderful photos of my mum, dad and brother and sisters, every family gathering with family members who have long gone but the memory of them is alive in my photographs. I suppose I'm a people person as opposed to an outdoor person. There's little chance of me ever climbing a mountain or scaling a rock face in search of the perfect sunset or braving the weather to capture a dewy dawn it just won't ever happen. I enjoy looking at other peoples photos, I dont find it easy to criticise one that maybe a snapper has braved the elements to capture only to be told that the "DOF wasnt right" or the "subject is slightly out of focus" or even "needs a bit of work done". Saying that I am trying to enter into the spirit of Critique but I dont find it easy. I'd like to have a go at understanding a bit more about my camera settings so I dont always have to snap on 'auto' but hey does it really matter I say. Im not sure I understand much more about all the complex stuff but I do enjoy meeting people, taking photos (lots of them), it doesnt really matter to me if folks find them boring or repetitive or even rubbish. I like them, they are all part of my memories, my life, people I love, live with, see every day, weddings, christenings, parties, my grandkids knew me as grandma camera
for much of their life so far, but you'll never
find many photos of me, I hate having my picture
taken !!!!
