Blipfoto was recommended to me by blipper and former colleague of mine, hpx. She warned me about how addictive it would become and she sure was right - as she frequently is! ;-)

After more than two years of blipping from Banks Peninsula (hence the name Horomaka), I now live in South Canterbury, an area known for its natural beauty, with bush-clad hills, waterfalls and access to the majestic Rangitata river and gorge all on my doorstep. A photographer's dream!

After years of shooting with Nikon cameras, I now shoot exclusively with Fujifilm X Series mirrorless cameras, freeing me from the heavy body and lens combinations of the DSLR.  It's certainly better for your back not carrying a huge load in the field all day!

Recently I've scaled my kit back even further, now using a Fuji X100F rangefinder for my walk around camera, leaving my X-T2 for specialist applications with my wide angle and super telephoto lenses.
Here's what you'll currently find me shooting with:

Cameras
- Fuji X-T2
- Fuji X100F

Lenses
- 23mm f/2 lens on the X100F
- Fuji WCL-X100 wide angle (19mm)
- Fuji TCL-X100 teleconverter (33mm)
- Fuji XF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6
- Samyang 12mm f/2
- Leica 60mm f/2.8 Elmarit-R Macro

Enjoy the ride and thanks for visiting.
