I have always been interested in photography, but did not have the financial means for it. So, I did painting and drawing. When I bought my first digital compact camera, my colleague said that I should work on refining my photography and lended me some photography magazines. When I saw an add from Lakeland Photographic Holidays in 2005, I booked a workshop with John Gravett and got hooked. John can cater to any level photographer and by the end of the workshop I knew how to workwith manual settings on my compact.
I photographed two weddings for friends & family and I have provided the art work for a few Marriott Hotels (my employer) in Europe. I do landscape, cityscape, flowers..
In John Rutter's hymn "All things bright and beautiful" we find one verse, which reflects my motivation for photography: "God gave us eyes to see (the beauty) and lips that we may tell how great is God Almighty who has made all things well". Instead of my lips, I tell with my photography, because words do not come easy to me.
