A few years back, I signed up for a continuing education class.  As part of our assignments, we were required to start a blipfoto blog as a way to encourage us to take a photograph every day.  At the time, I had a pretty simple digital camera, and ended up dropping the class - it was designed for those with with a camera that had manual settings, which I did not have.  Since then, however, I've returned to blip now and again (more or less every time I remember to take pictures.

In my other life, I am a writer and a teacher.  When I'm not finishing a novel, I am working with student writing, and while I love words, sometimes, they start to feel like too much.  The photography aspect is a really nice break in my usual routine.  Plus it helps me to better see the world.  Plus, it's just a whole lot of fun (and looking at other people's blips is a lot of fun, too!)  So here I am.

Thanks for reading.
