My name is Albert Seockje Hong by certificate, legality, and formality, but the aestheticity of my Korean name spelling is absolutely horrid. It is for this reason and this reason alone that I choose to go by Sukjae. Of course, this is probably of no interest to the reader and so here is a bit about my photographic experience.

I have none. I have no training, I have no expertise or know-how. The only knowledge I have is from reading articles online about aperture, shutter speed, exposure, schematics of cameras, and I dare say, there is quite a lot of information on the internet. My first camera was a disposable Kodak. My second was a disposable Fujifilm. My third was a bit better. A Sony Cybershot. An absolute mess to use. The focus was all off, the exposure made pictures look like they'd been faded for years under a stack of dusty boxes. I was not happy. Then I discovered my dad's ancient Canon AE-1 and I discovered film, SLRs, and later, DSLRs. I'm most happy.

This isn't to say that I've developed a brick wall when it comes to less expensive, less revered means of photography. I love my Samsung SCH-B510 Cameraphone to death. It's 2.0 megapixels turn out plenty of profound shots as you'll see periodically in my blogs. I'm a grey man. I lurk between the boundaries of amateur and semi-pro and I believe I've developed a liking for that. So that's where I'll be.
