The summer proceeding my junior year was a blank slate. I had met some new friends and they were signed up for a black and white photography class going on at my school during the summer. Urging me to sign up, they said that I should just try it for fun. My dad used to be very into photography so I thought I might give it a shot. One of my friends also was in the class. Through the summer we discovered that we had an eye for photography that many of the other students didn't. Our teacher also realized this and encouraged us, also mentoring us outside of class in our technique. He was a man that changed my life, and taught me a lifelong hobby. I did mostly black and white photography in the sweet darkroom we had at school. But then my friend and I graduated high school. The hobbie fell out a bit, but I've been meaning to get back into it through digital photography this time. I've had a Canon D60 and plan to explore life and photography with this blog
