A decade ago I fell in love with photography. I didn't love it cause I got paid for it (cause I didn't) or because I had amazing equipment to do it with. I had a borrowed,3.2 megapixel, bulky point-and-shoot digital camera. But when I went into the woods to take photos with no preconceptions, just looking to get lost... a click of a shutter was like a shotgun blast that silenced my frantic brain of over analyzing everything I couldn't control and gave me something I could. Images, frozen bits of time, that can be blurred, focused, color corrected, rotated, cropped, overexposed, and underexposed. That you could produce something that no one could exactly replicate. It was an exhilarating feeling to have. Over that gap of time I have taken thousands of photos and had a variety of different camera equipment, Taken photos for money,Taken photos for free, but along the way I stopped doing it for me. I lost my love and I am trying to rekindle it. I was half-hearted at the beginning of 2012 but wasn't committed and now this is take two My Lucky 13'. Just doing this for myself. Some days will be really artsy and others fairly simple but that's just my life. Enjoy the show.
