Edinburgh: St Andrew's House

Another meeting in Edinburgh today, but this one finished around 2.30pm and the fine spring weather afforded me a very pleasant stroll from the meeting venue (next to the Hibernian FC ground to the north of the City) back into the centre of town, passing on the way in front of St Andrew's House, now the headquarters of the Scottish Government.

The facade of this magnificent Art Deco building makes an impressive sight.

It does, however, confirm the statement in the Wikipedia article, "The building underwent a major refurbishment in 2001, although the external facade is still coated in a sooty residue."
