Mute Swan

Swans are scarce on the lake at Crookes Valley Park, so to see two there today was unusual. I'm going to pretend the odd framing in this picture was an artistic choice, and not because the swan moved ;)

The Mute Swans weren't the biggest surprise, however, as a Ring-necked Parakeet flew over Weston Park a few minutes earlier. These birds seem to be forming a small population in Sheffield, and hopefully I'll manage to get a shot of one before too long.
