the songs of Spring...

Where are the songs of Spring? Ay, where are they?
Think not of them, thou hast thy music too,-
While barred clouds bloom the soft-dying day,
And touch the stubble-plains with rosy hue;

Keats was, of course, partial to Autumn - and he says rightly that it is every bit as lovely as Spring.

Walking about Blackford Pond, I looked back and the scene looked distinctly late autumnal! But mainly due to the gardeners in the allotments burning off the winter prunings.

I wouldn't join the argument. But it's probably true that the transition seasons of Spring and Autumn do have the edge.
