Love

Yet another spectacular part of the trip to Vegas: The Beatles Love by Cirque Du Soleil.

The theatre itself was impressive, the lights as you entered, the faux British costumes worn by the staff, the general hubbub of excitement. However nothing could prepare you for the sheer brilliance of the show itself.

Translucent screens with projections of blue sky and clouds quartered the stage. The show started and there was quiet disappointment as the screens remained in situ.

Then as the introduction of Get Back reached its crescendo the screens fell to the floor and the audience let out a collective gasp of awe as the whole arena was revealed.

The stage was filled with extraordinary characters that played out a loose story of Britain from end the of WWII through to 1970 as the Fab Four grew-up, grew together and changed the musical world forever.

It's damn near impossible to relay what an outstanding piece of theatre it is. From the precision of the acrobatics, to the costumes, sights and sounds. A whirling, psychedelic trip you want to experience over and over again, just to try and take it all in.

Truly phenomenal.
