Blue

There was quite a heavy frost this morning, particularly in the Borders. But the sun is gaining height and strength now, so by mid afternoon when I was heading down towards the Tyne from the Gateshead side I almost felt warm. I was struck by the intense blueness of the sky, set off by a cloud of seagulls who were circling round very high up. I took several shots of them, but this was the only one in which I could even glimpse them as specks. They may be visible if you look at it large.

And re last night's bottle of wine from Fronton - chaiselongue was right, it turned out to be delicious! (Thank you, Mel).
