Seeing through the camera

Sometimes the camera can see things we can't, like this light bulb. At 1/1000th, F8.0 and with a ND8 filter, it captures a view I'll never see.

I cant decide what it looks like though. The lid of an old-fashioned steel dustbin? The wheel of some strange vehicle? A robotic eye?

I like the latter, so I doubled it up. Are we being watched?
