Early morning silage bales

What a bitterly cold morning with a white frost on the ground! The wind was coming from the north-east and we were back to winter. I only took one photograph today and here it is: wrapped silage bales from the other side of the farm that T had brought ready to feed the cows up here in the yards.

Today was the day we would know the results of the TB test. Fortunately I wasn't needed and went out morning and afternoon, returning in trepidation but we had PASSED! One never knows - a farmer in the village had 50 cows slaughtered out of his 200 because they had reacted positively to the test and afterwards the powers that be found none of them had TB. What a waste and poor cows! This is taxpayers money being squandered, millions of pounds a year, and farmers' businesses being ripped apart. I wont say any more and I am grateful for our good results!
