World Book Day.

This is where they come from you know.

In my life I have owned five copies of 'A Town Like Alice'. Three of 'Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance'. I've read 'The Lord of the Rings' so often I have two sets in the house, one battered set to read and one nice set just to have. I own one or two books of great financial value, but most came from second hand shops or book swaps or gifts.

I have one shelf exclusively dedicated to maps, and one to poetry.

Words. Other people thoughts, and ideas, and convictions and emotions. Words to teach and heal and educate and provoke.

I would not be the person that I am without books.
