Video Duty

Last night was the Mat-Su Borough School District Annual Honor Band Concert. The best performers of each school are brought together and practice for two days and then perform on the night of the final day. K has participated every year as a middle schooler. This is her first year as a high schooler. Of course the event required a video record. The venue was the same as last week's gun show so the acoustics were pretty lousy (No symphonic theaters in the valley). The highlight of the evening was their rendition of Symphony No. 1 (In Memoriam, Dresden, 1945). It was quite chilling and evocative. Before K lambasts me for misleading you, this image is actually of the Middle schoolers. I wanted to maintain more rapt attention for the high school squad.
