Sunrise....

To me usually means background inanity courtesy of Kochie & Mel. How I hate breakfast tv.

Today I was up when it was still technically night in my books, being it was dark and I could see Milky Ways' belt when I went out back with my (double strength) coffee.

Headed city way and caught sunrise on the way. My youngest said it looked like lava. Thought it quite a good comparison.

Another surf carnival - this one was State qualifiers. End of season is drawing nearer, which to be honest brings with it, a bag of mixed feelings.
