Speckled Hen's off

After Saturday morning's work cutting out ash saplings on a hilly nature reserve, we adjourned to our local pub. Tony the warden of the reserve is a smoker so we sat outside (well wrapped up) on the terrace.

A hen appeared on the wooden fence. I can't say I've ever seen this at a pub before.
