One crocus

I'm waiting for four days now to make a photo of the only crocus (forgot to plant new bulbs) in the garden, fully flowering. The bud stayed closed.

This morning I saw to my alarm a house sparrow picking at the bud. That would have been my blip! But before I had my camera, the bird was gone.

I decided to make the photo of the crocus with the bud closed. I don't trust the bird and I can't change it's nature ;)
