Turkish films

This is my small, but lovingly growing collection of Turkish DVDs. We watched Edge of Heaven last night which is like a Babel, but better I think, not so dark, but equally as entwined as a story line.

Modern Turkish films are generally really good, often with long moody shots of the wonderful Anatolian landscape and reflect different aspects of contemporary Turkey. I'm pleased to say that the Turkish film industry has become slightly more sophisticated since the days of the first DVD in this picture, which is an old film and translates as The Neighbour's Chicken.
