'Free food for five days' challenge: Day 1

On 3rd March I blipped about my £20 of Nectar points, and a leaflet claiming I could feed te family for a week from Sainsbury's for £20.

So, today I went shopping. I had to make a few minor changes:

Sainsbury's value 'full fat' (and probably full of bones) mince was replaced with extra lean steak mince, and I felt that if a jar of 'Sweet and Sour' sauce cost less than a second class stamp it really wasn't worth the money. The premium sauce made its way into the basket! On the other hand, a lot of the vegetables were reduced in price and were still good.
