Nuts

Someone very rashly put a bag of these tasty little devils within my reach today.

Thank goodness pistachios are so fiddly to eat; if it didn't take vital seconds to open them, I'd probably scoff them by the sackful. It's that creamy, salty nuttiness that does it.

Having said that, once they're shelled, they're not that appetising-looking. So if they didn't have those beautiful shells, would they taste as good?
