My daughter is an avid reader, a fact that gives me great pleasure. Her bedtime ritual, once dragged away from the Simpsons or the Wii or similar is to read for a short while before dozing off.

That this evening's great work of literature is the Strictly Come Dancing annual is something of a disappointment, but any reading is better that no reading, right?
