lens & lens

a day off, and my parents are in edinburgh for a day out - a good combination. started with a look round the national museum of scotland's shining lights exhibition, about scottish lighthouses in the year the bell rock turns 200. it's a tiny ex, but interesting all the same - and the live gps map you can play with had us all hooked. this is me reflected in reflectors.

lunch at the scotsman hotel - food nice, service atrocious (almost non-existent, despite the fact we were the only people eating for most of the time we were there). then some shopping - and while in john lewis examining food processors in detail, my mother bought a digi camera! she's talked about getting one for at least as long as i've had mine, and apparently just decided on the spot to have one. we had to go and have a cup of tea to recover :-) tho i fear there could be a lot of phone calls and texts til she gets it figured out...
