love the british museum, love that people really do go 'wow' at the rosetta stone - archaeology is cool!
lovely exhibition on afghanistan treasures (has its flaws, but more than worth a look), and lovely camel to take home
lovely peaceful train trip all the way to newcastle

loathesome tube closures meant it took forever to get to the BM
loathe crowds at blockbuster exhibitions meaning you have to spend ages waiting to see the stuff, loathe that you only get all the info if you pay £30 for a huge catalogue, loathe that there are no postcards of the most interesting pieces
loathe the groups of blokes who got on at newcastle and were drunken, rowdy and annoying all the way to edinburgh

but anyway, go see the precioussssssss, it's pretty wowsome :-) oh, and
