Forty miles an hour

The great advantage of having a largely self-contained job, or at least one that can as easily be done from a sofa as a desk, is that when your sleep's been disturbed and the weather's foul and you could do with a lie in and working from home, you can. And when you get to lunch time feeling a bit crappy you can just decide to have a half day and take the camera out for a wander. So that's what I did today.

The weather wasn't too promising and although it was nice to find my way down to the water's edge at Kincardine, the wind was freezing. I wanted to take a photo of the wind, having got a bit of welding glass I wanted to find something moving around. The boats at the harbour would have been good. There was one boat bobbing around madly and the 30 sec exposure has the boat and the water as a big blur while the harbour structure is nice and sharp. Unfortunately i hadn't done enough to eliminate light leaks around and through the edges of the glass so there was loads of flare making it unusable. I ended up round the other side of the harbour playing with my boat. It's still got some streaking with light in the top left.
