What have they done to Edinburgh?

This is Princes Street. Outside the Balmoral Hotel, looking up to Calton Hill. What a mess! What an awful mess!
This is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and this stupid tram project has turned its heart into a giant building site......for years.
What a terrible shame
