Bethune's Fern

Took the hounds for a walk from Bethune's Gully to Mt Cargill & back today. It was a really misty & moody kind of a day with the odd hopeful glimmer of sunshine. We had an awesome walk and the dogs are really exhausted now and just lying around the house sleeping.
I am off to Nepal in 3 weeks so I am trying to get out and do some hill walking to help prepare myself a little & wear in my boots. Can anything prepare you for the great Himalaya? I don't think anything can. Looking forward to going to a new country and having my senses totally overwhelmed. I have wanted to go there for over 20 years so this is a big experience in my life. Tick another one off the "Bucket list"!
