Whistleing Wigeon

I did plan to post a photo of two paintings I had painted for my Mum (its her birthday today, the day before mine) but forgot to take the picture and I'm at my Dads now so... here is a quick doodle of a Wigeon I did earlier.. :)

Was surprised to see a Carrion Crow this morning perched on one of the Jackdaws usual spots. I attempted to play Jackdaw calls to the Jackdaws but (if they could even here it) they didnt seem interested.. suppose they're not really song birds, but i did expect them to respond a little. I played a Peregrine call too, I wonder if birds instinctley recognise certain predators calls??

I'll have to try playing blackbird song to a blackbird to see the response.
