Forest Fire Hazard Is Low

Although we brought rain gear I was glad to do most of our sight seeing from the car. This is near the community of Shirley.

We drove the opposite direction, north up the coast, and stopped at a small community called Jordan River. Isolated and bleak, at least in the wind and rain, I read the posted signs identifying it as a tsunami hazard area and the highway labelled as the preferred escape route in the event of a tsunami and was glad I live inland. Who could know that a couple of days later exactly that kind of tragedy would affect Japan.
