Hopegill Head

The sharp peak just to the left of the trees is Hopegill Head. ( This shot was taken on the golf course this morning. )

In summer sunlight there is a pleasant colour, the bilberry- greenest of greens - making a luxuriant velvety patchwork amoung the grey and silver rocks. In shadow, the scene is sombre and forbidding. The silence is interupted only by the croaking of the resident ravens and the occasional falling botanist. This is a place to look at and leave alone. A. Wainwright

( Dogs are not allowed on the golf course, but Chloe spent ages in and out of the sea this afternoon! )
