Novelty wheels taste as good as they look

Actually, I don't know whether they do or not! I have inherited a recipe book from my mothers. Some of the recipes are written others are on scraps of paper. Very few have dates on this one is December 9 1953. Other recipes are from friends and neighbours and must be dated around the mid-1960s.

I love the suggestion that if you don't use McDougall's flour they won't turn out so well!
