Apple Scented Geranium

Pelargonium odoratissimum

I bought the forbear of this plant many years ago because of the spicy apple perfume that emanates from the leaves when they are lightly brushed. The flowers came later and were an obvious bonus. They are tiny- about 15mm across. The plant is in a pot on my verandah. I put a black cloth behind it to avoid some distracting reflections in a window.

The news from Japan has become a whole lot worse, just when we thought it couldn't be worse.
