Hand in your badge

Last year a friend and former colleague died unexpectedly, and Shaker T inherited his badge-making machine. It has since been put to good use, and many badges have been made that would have met with Midgers' approval. Possibly not the one at the top left, which shows him and his partner in crime (term used advisedly) in 80s synth-pop duo Cola Boy. They had a top ten hit in the UK, but Midgers always said the music was terrible, and we had to agree. The Cola Boy badges were made so a group of us could have Midgers along on a trip to Barcelona. He would have loved it.

The other ones arrived in the post today. The John Gibson badge really cracked me up - anyone familiar with the Edinburgh Evening News will know him. Like Midgers, he's one of the funniest men I've ever met. A friend of ours shared a table with Gibby the Hibby at a same-sex wedding and nearly joined Midgers in the afterlife on account of the fact that he like to died laughing. "The Marine Corps build Oswalds" is a replica of an anti-military badge that came out after the Kennedy assassination. Sometimes opening the mail can make your day.
