Thai Class

Well, for those of you who couldn't read "Coke" on the can last week, don't feel bad. I couldn't either until I started Thai class. We continue practicing blending high-class, middle-class and low-class consonants with long vowels and short vowels. Yes, it's as confusing as it sounds. But we're making progress.

This is Ricky from my class. He's Thai and Spanish. He grew up in Spain and can speak Thai but never learned how to read and write it. Also in my class are two guys from the Netherlands, a Korean, a man from Japan, and a guy from Belgium. Just imagine throwing Thai into that mix and trying to communicate... It's great!
