Architecture

Architecture in the city where I live is mainly functional. Aesthetics are largely ignored. And the more the people get used to it, the more they become zombies...

But in the city where I was born, the city Dominic Lapierre called "The City of Joy", is quite the opposite. Architecture has a strong colonial influence. Some of it is now dilapidated, some are being restored, but mostly all of them are interesting. A part of me longs for a part of that city.

Was watching 'The English Patient' yesterday. There is something so strongly tragic about the movie... Has to be one of the most artistic movies I have seen in recent times. The music, the words, 'The Palace of Winds...'
