Mersey wood

I went for a quick walk at lunchbreak to take some pictures and discovered this woodland, between an industrial estate and the River Mersey, despite it being a grey dull day it was magic! This is an old treestump at the edge of a sandstone cliff, the tide was out and you can see the sea weed in the background.

I think I will spend more lunchtimes there!
