Pit Stop...

We were down in Northumberland yesterday and today. I keep saying it's visiting our friends down in Newcastle but although they used to live in Newcastle, they're in Ashington which is about 30 minutes shy of the Toon.

We were kind engulfed in fog over the last 2 days which is where the murkiness from this comes whilst we visited the rather interesting Woodhorn Museum just outside Ashington. Ashington is/was a mining town in Northumberland and the Woodhorn Museum is based at and about the colliery, these lift shafts being the centre piece of the buildings here.

All rather interesting and worth a visit if you're in the area.
