Point de Vue

The "Excel" building (after MS' famous software) is the nickname of my workplace, in downtown Washington, D.C., a short block from the White House. The location's great, if you are a fan of sirenes and motorcades. A common game -- for us smokers relegated outside of the building -- is to try and identify the visiting dignitary based on the tiny flag that's flown on the lead car. Tourists stop and gawk. Mostly, the rest of us just get annoyed, especially if the parade of cars decides to move during rush hour.

The building is home to 6,000 some employees with another couple of thousands in adjacent buildings and several thousands more in locations across the world.

My home away from home. Speaking of which: time to shut off the old PC and head back for the evening! :)
