Electric Mattress...

With Bethany starting life as a big girl in her own proper bed, we've got a backup mattress (Ta, Mr and Mrs Jeepo) that we've put on the floor beside her bed for rolling out of bed accidents.

A couple of nights ago I was lifting her off the emergency mattress when it started lighting up where I was leaning on it. Wow, that's clever, a touch sensitive lightup mattress.

Further investigation the next day concluded that instead of small touch sensitive lights embedded in the mattress, it was just static electricity which is surprisingly visible in total darkness.
